Rare, Unused, Set of 6 Vintage Tea Cups, German
This is a rare, unused set of 6 vintage tea cups. A German, porcelain cup and saucer with striking demitasse and 22 carat gilt finish by Alka of Bavaria, dating to the mid 20th century, circa 1940.
Highly ornate set, offering fine colour, eye-catching detail and in rare unused condition
Displaying a desirable as-new vintage patina
Pleasingly delicate porcelain with deep colouration over a white base
Polished 22ct gilt interior a striking decorative choice
Octagonal rosette forms with gently curved edges
Prominent white handles to each cup with gilt accents
Abundance of foliate demitasse to each panel, repeating to the rim of each saucer
Six desirable, deeply coloured pairs present an attractive display
The gilt cup interiors bear an Alka 22ct gold shield emblem with heraldic lions
Further maker's marks adorn the bases of each cup and saucer
Here reading 'Alka, Bavaria' beneath a crown mark with individual serial numbers to each
