Pair Scottish brass fireside trivets brass trivets Scottish Victorian %%alt5%%
Two very attractive small Victorian brass fireside trivets. These are Scottish made and are identical in size and proportions but have different patterns and inscriptions. One has a complete tea set with the inscription “ The cup, peace and plenty that cheers” the other has a complete set of fireside tools and the inscription “Our ain fireside”. One of the trivets has a makers mark on the underside “Greenlees Glasgow”. They are in fine original condition. Sizes: 7”(18cms) diameter, 1”(2 ½ cms) high. Date circa 1890. I have been in the antiques business since 1962, starting in the family business in Staffordshire.
In the early 1970’s I moved to Hertfordshire where I opened my own business and created a limited company.
Today, my business is carried out via the internet. Any successful antiques business, and particularly mine, remains a way of life and a hobby, it continues to give me enormous enjoyment and satisfaction.
I hope this is reflected by my commitment to a very high quality of service which I have always given over the years. I prefer to deliver sold items in person where possible to ensure complete customer satisfaction.
I source my stock through many contacts built up over the years. This continues to consist of carefully chosen high quality 17th 18th and 19th century of furniture, particularly specialising in articles with their own fine original colour and also many interesting smaller items of the same periods.
I am always very happy to answer any questions or queries that you might have, This is part of the service that I am delighted to give.
