Remarkable pair of late 19th.c. brass and iron savonarola style armchairs c.1890. Curving wrought iron X frames topped with tall turned brass finials with flattened pommel tops front and rear and connected with low arms. Slung backrest and seats upholstered in a soft crimson velvet with loose feather filled cushions. Small flower head mount at the cross points of the frames, repeated on the rear. Raised on heavy brass bun feet. Excellent condition.
