A mid-century, Sputnik / Atomic design ashtray.
Just a great piece of design, the ashtray stands on 3 legs, the design incorporates a slight tilt to one side (therefore leaning towards the user).
Standing on 3 metal legs of Sputnik design, the metal ashtray has the original wire 'tapping' mesh to the top, and the ash reserve is opened by pressing the rectangular button on the top. Please note, this can be a bit sticky at times.
It measures approximately 30 cm (12 inches) high, with a top diameter of 17 cm (6 3/4 ins).
Obviously, it doesn't have to be used as an ashtray, but just as a great piece of mid-century decor.
It is in good condition, with surface marks as would be expected.
