Letter - Leeds & Selby Railway Co., 1830
Hand written letter of 1830 - The letter is addressed to a Mr Spencer,of Conisbrough, Doncaster, from a Mr.Atkinson, dated December 20th 1830. The letter relates to the purchase of land from Mr Spender,for which £96.17.6 was being offered by the Leeds and Selby Railway Company.
The Leeds and Selby Railway Co.,was founded in 1830 -1844 - and subsequently absorbed by the York & North Midland Railway. The Paper has a nice Watermark 'J. WHATMAN TURKEY MILL 1822'. Plus a Leeds postal franking and a '6' hand postal strike.
