Late 18th Century Scottish Silver Sauce Ladle
Late 18th century Scottish Sterling silver sauce ladle with twisted whale bone handle, the handle with silver tip to the end. There are no hallmarks to the piece only the makers initials of McHATTIE & FENWICK of EDINBURGH who were working in the late 18th century. A few minor dings but basically pretty good for its age. Unusual design for a sauce ladle, a bit like a miniature toddy ladle.
