For the husband/man that has everything! Spoil him with these super "mancave boots"!This rare pair of late 16th-century knights stirrups are Continental (possibly Spanish/Portuguese). The hand-forged stirrups are reinforced at the front, the sides and the bottom of the wooden base with steel straps mounted in a heavy band with a suspension loop. The interior is fitted with the original leather lining. These armoured stirrups supported and gave stability to the rider and also crucially protected the feet in battle. This pair is museum quality and will delight any serious collector.

CONDITION: The stirrups are in VERY good condition considering the age. They do have clear dents and original repairs (to the wooden base) but that is to be expected from 16th century armour that most certainly would have seen and survived combat action.
