Lovely large Irish silver dish ring complete with blue glass liner and elaborately decorated with pierced and engraved detail. Depicts a rolling scene of castles, turrets, and water mills in a landscape of trees, fields, with a river and bridge, all finely engraved to show the tiny details of the bricks in the walls, thatched roof, leaves on the trees, ripples in the stream and blades of grass and tussocks in the meadows. Finished with a large vacant cartouche framed with scrolls. Hallmarked for Dublin 1910-11, makers Hopkins & Hopkins. It also has a small retailer mark inside the rim with a celtic type knot symbol but I can't trace the name currently.

It measures 8 1/4" (21cm) wide across the base, 7 1/8" (18cm) across the top and 4 1/4" (10.5cm) high. The silver weighs 409g/13.2ozt. Condition is excellent with no damage or repairs with silver or liner and light surface wear good and appropriate for age.
