A fine and well proportioned antique giltwood overmantel, dated 1878.
Frame water-gilded to the highest quality using 23.5 carat genuine gold leaf.
Original mirror plate which is date stamped on the back " August 1878". Plate has very light overall foxing.
Original backing boards, ceramic bun feet and hanging plates.
Sizes 116 cm tall, 108 cm wide at base, main frame width 92.5 cm.
