Lamp hall tea Table rare Birch George III c1770
Here we have a truly outstanding and rare George III Chippendale period solid Birch table c1770. The table as you can see has excellent colour and patina. The top has super grain with a moulded edge. It opens to reveal two remarkable surfaces with wonderful colour, grain and patina. There is a single drawer with original brass swan neck handles. The drawer has a thumb moulded edge and hand cut dovetail joints. There is a super shaped frieze to the sides and front with beautiful fretwork brackets to the top of the front legs. The legs are typically internally chamfered and have a moulded front leading edge. The table is of pegged mortice and tenon construction throughout with the pegs delightfully raised from the surface indicating the antique tables age. A super table in fantastic retail condition ready for your home. The dimensions are approx 37 inches wide 18 deep and 29.5 high.
