Georgian Oak And Elm Lowboy Table
Here is a most charming early 18th century Georgian lowboy.
c1720.
This superb lowboy is made of elm and oak with a wonderful rich warm colour, and excellent patina to the wood.
The elm top really is a delight, being a single wide plank, which deeply overhangs the sides, with a beautiful grain and rich colour.
Below is an arrangement of three oak lined drawers, each with a feather-banded frame, which contrasts beautifully against the oak. Having very pretty brass axe-drop handles.
Of pegged construction, with pretty shaped apron to front and sides.
Standing on square legs with inner canted corners.
A very attractive and extremely useful antique Georgian lowboy, with much warmth and character.
Very solid sturdy and strong.
Bees-waxed and polished.
