Georgian Bright Cut Teaspoons Solomon Hougham
Arthur Vandyk Antiques are delighted to offer for sale a part set of five late 18th Century, George III period silver teaspoons in the Old English pattern with bright cut decoration, the terminal of the handles have an oval cartouche with a marriage type monogram.
The details are as follows:
Silversmith: Solomon Hougham
Year of manufacture: 1796
Assay Office: London but lacking leopard head mark
Dimensions:
Length: 12 cm
Combined Weight: 55 grams
Condition Report:
In overall very good condition for their 226 year age, with some minor wear to the bowls and some of the spoons some small shallow dents to its bowls, age related scratches, surface marks tarnish marks, however, these delicately decorated spoons are fine examples of Georgian silverware.
