English Victorian Low Table in walnut. 19thcentury
Description: English Victorian central foot table in briar of walnut with particular sail mechanism.
The oval-shaped top has a thick walnut root in the center, while on the edge, enclosed between reserves in precious exotic wood, there is an alternation of rhombuses with micromosaic inlay.
The central trunk bearing a finely sculpted carving is supported by four cabriolet feet ending in volute leaves and curl resting on coeval porcelain wheels.
Historical notes: The term Victorian period indicates the reign of the great Queen Victoria, who ruled England from 1837 to 1901: a period of great changes and better living conditions, these seventy years were also characterized by greater rigor in every aspect of life, including furniture.
Thus was born the Victorian style, original and inimitable, which became the English style par excellence, distinctive of the new bourgeois class.
Provenance: England 19th century (1840/50)
Measures: 130x100 H73cm.
Document: Certificate of Authenticity.
Conditions: The table is in excellent condition and can be used both under sail and normal
Assistance: We are at your disposal for further clarifications or photographic details
Shipping: throughout Italy, Europe and the rest of the world at very low prices in maximum security and traceable. The shipment will be agreed privately and will not be of high cost.
We wish you a good day.
