Here we have a very rare solid Walnut Charles II chest of drawers c1680. As you can see the chest has remarkable colour and patina. There is a single large plank to the top with warm rich colour and grain. The sides are panelled as is the back and of course the chest is constructed using mortice and tenon joints. There are four drawers with moulded fronts and applied bobbin moulds to the centre. There are period handles and thick half dove tail joints with base boards going from left to right and sitting over the sides. As you would expect the rear legs have been spliced and the front feet are 19th century. A super period and rare chest being in Walnut in great retail condition ready for your home. The dimensions are approx 95 cm high 94 cm wide 52 cm deep.
