Here we have an outstanding Charles II Oak chest of drawers with provenance c1680. As you can see the chest has great colour and patina. The chest has come through the Leiter estate and was once in the hands of Margaret Howard the then Countess of Suffolk. Thwere is a pack of information that comes wityh the chest. There is a two plank top with moulded edge and four drawers below. The drawers have moulded fronts and remarkably original drop handles. The drawers are hung as you would expect from the period. This rare small chest is completely original with panelled sides and original base and back boards. There are original turned front feet and rear stile feet. A wonderful and rare period chest of drawers in great retail condition ready for your home. The dimensions are 92 cm wide 90 cm high 53 cm deep.
