Bloor Derby Porcelain London Tea Cup & Saucer
A Bloor period Derby porcelain tea cup and saucer in the London shape, c.1820. A slightly hotch potch pattern of pale and dark vine leaves off a rather crude squiggly gilt vine with dotted bunches of grapes and interspersed with finely painted Duesbury type pink roses. Gilt around the rims and handle detail. Red marks to the bases.
The cup measures 5.7cm (2 1/4") high to the rim and 9.1cm (3 9/16") rim to rim. The saucer measures 14.4cm (5 5/8") wide and 3.2cm (1 1/8") high.
In very good condition with no damage, repair or restoration and minimal handling wear. The saucer is finely crazed from manufacture, as is the glaze to the cup handle and here there is a small element of associated discolouration. A small firing fault inside the base of the cup. Payment is accepted by bank transfer, card payments (via an online invoice, I'm afraid we cannot take payments over the telephone), Paypal and UK personal cheque. If you prefer to pay by Stripe please go to our website where we offer that option and additionally options to "Pay in 30 days" and to pay in 3 instalments, all securely supported.
Price includes UK shipping. Worldwide shipping is also available, please ask for a cost.
We wish to ensure all our customers are happy with their purchases and offer a full no quibble return policy for all items returned within 14 days. We ask that returns are notified within 7 days where possible. Return postage is the buyer's responsibility in terms of cost and safeguarding the item through transit.
