Stunning Arts & Crafts copper fire screen with a peacock displaying his wonderful feathers. There is a Ruskin cabochon each side of his legs. The copper panel is mounted on a steel frame with steel studs. There is a pierced handhold at the top.
This screen was made by the Newton school near Cambridge. The beautiful large cabochons measure just over 5cms in diameter and are in perfect condition.
Height 67cms at the top of the curled supports.
Width 51cms. Depth at feet 17cms.
Offered in a good condition with very minor discolouration on body of bird.. Minor rust to steel. This screen stands firm and would make an amazing addition to any fireplace.
