This is an awesome Arts and Crafts Victorian Oak bureau bookcase c1870-80. Raised on slab end sides with bracket feet it has two fixed shelves and a signle drawer. The bureau slides have wooden turned knobs with its orginal handle. The main bureau flap has ornamental iron strap hinges that help us date this piece to the earlier Arts & Crafts antique furniture going more towards the middle of the 19th Century rather than later. The lock and key work perfectly but are replacements. The inside is fitted with a series of pigeon holes. A great piece in a great colour. We are Mews Antiques based in Worcestershire, WR9 8NN. On larger items we offer free delivery within 100 miles of this postcode which includes the London diaspora. On smaller items we ship using interlink express.
