This is an antique highland hotel guest key box. A Scottish, mahogany country house reception keeper, dating to the Edwardian period, circa 1910.
Delightfully presented key box with wonderful Highland taste
Displays a desirable aged patina and in good order
Select stocks present fine grain interest and deep russet hues
Letterbox and hanging loops in brass present warm golden tones
Shaped pediment back rest accentuated with oak leaf detail with dentil moulding to the tiered crown edge
Drop keys through a letterbox slot finished in quality brass
Striking carved door fascia with relief cross keys motif
Door dressed with a shaped lock escutcheon — in working order, key present
