A hefty piece of crystal was used to make this fabulous box, deeply and beautifully cut on four sides with the ever-popular hobnail cut with clear cantered corners the underside is star cut.

The collar and hinged lid is made from silver plate, the top of lid engraved and crowned with a wheat sheaf finial to the lid.

Unmarked, the box is Victorian in era dating to around 1890. 5 1/2" x 5" x 7 3/4" to top of finial.
