This is a superb antique Chinese hardwood inlaid table dating from around 1890. The circular top is intricately inlaid with mother of pearl depicting soldiers on horseback around a building and a trailing border of plants and insects. It has upright supports with pierced carvings of birds in foliage and the circular base inlaid with bats.

The table has a good warm colour and stands 70 cms tall and 54 cms in diameter.
