A very good quality solid teak secretaire military chest. Raised on turned feet above which are four long and two short drawers and with teak linings. The secretaire drawer has a number of features including sliding compartments, pen and ink tray and an adjustable leather lined writing surface. In very good and original condition. 1100mm high, 1000mm wide and 500mm deep. Circa 1870 W J Gravener Antiques is a family owned business, started in 1963 by William who was joined by son, Mark in 1981 and continues today with the same ethos of dealing in fine quality English and Continental furniture, mirrors and decorative objects, from the 18th & 19th centuries. Now under the stewardship of Mark and his wife, Louise, we take pride in maintaining the high standards which William set more than 50 years ago.
