A rare mid 19th. Century Wool Winder
A rare mid 19th. Century Wool Winder, this device was to enable a skein of wool to be placed over the extending arms which would hold it firmly whilst being wound off into balls of wool. Extends to approx. 31.5” when fully opened. These umbrella type wool winders are also often called swifts.
