The back panel with lozenge carving and trefoil lobes with crosshatching synonymous with the Halifax region.
Slightly later historical ownership initial 'P.M.' and date '1725'
Characteristic down-swept and shaped arms
The crest rail decorated with beast carving.
Good dark patina throughout.
Some splits to side rails and evidence of old worm
