19th Century French Iron & Marble Console Table
This is a very decorative French marble top console table with fabulous heavy scrolling cast iron base. The table is an accomplished piece of aesthetic metal craft with substantial scrollwork embellished with swept acanthus detail in gilded metal. The heavy reeded ball feet are in good quality solid gilded brass. The table dates from around 1860 and emanates from an elegant Parisian apartment. This has a its original heavy marble top which has beautiful figuring and attractive hues of pinks, coral, ochre and brown.
The table is is excellent condition for its age, and measures 120cm wide, 42cm deep and is 88cm high.
