Here we have a beautiful antique letter box in Oak from Balgowan House in Scotland, the box has it's original working lock and key with ivorian key fob with house name written on it, there is also original paper post times attached to the inner lid along with the local Post Office (Clovenfords) opening times, the brass plate on the top also carries the house name, replacement glass.
Also with this is the house leather postal satchel which also carries the house name in brass on the clasp (not working) this is very unusual to find these related items surviving together.
The indenture document is not related but is included.
