17th Century Side Axe
A small late 17thC side axe having a hand forged blade and secured with hand cut nails to a rustic handle with a bulbous end. The handle has traces of wood worm damage, commiserate with age. The blade has traces of a blacksmiths initials and the handle has lovely colour and patination. Overall condition excellent.
